An interesting phenomenon:
Folks come to visit, read my name tag, make my last name that of someone they know. I didn't think of it as odd at first, but it has now happened more than a few times. Hmm. They misread my name tag in a variety of ways.
"Hey, I know a Kathy Popp in Boulder!"
"Wow! My ex-husband's last name was Kopp! Weird..."
"Hey, you're a Kapp too?!?"
Whatever. While I am charmed that people are dying to have a connection with me, it just seems a bit odd to misread such a very short and simple name. Happens all the time, though. You should see my mail. My name morphs constantly - just another of my super-suave powers...
